My simple poem about burgers and fries
is just what it seems containing no lies
where simple truth and good will arise
elicits responses from both of you guys

the lush and the plush of a political post
may be what some seem to love the most
but for me it comes as no big surprise
this predilection for burgers and fries

So Doug and Herm what a delightful pleasure
I tip my hat to your poetical treasure
to take the time from your daily leisure
to match me in rhyme rhythm and measure
