Hey Herm,
Long time users of the BBS could tell you my feelings concerning the leader of the last presidential administration. And, although my opinion was rather weak, make no mistake about my feelings for the good old USofA! Like the old bumper sticker used to read, 'America, Love It Or Leave It!' (Pan the camera here for flags, amber waves of grain, and patriotic music).
My feelings about Obama have cooled a little, but I still think that he is going to be a great leader.
My reason for the cooling opinion is that I think he is trying to please too many people and spread himself too thin on too many problems.
I don't think that anyone could have done much more, considering the state of the union when he took over.
Does anyone think that the McCain/Palin ticket would have done better?
If you do feel this way, I would love to read your ideas. If I don't agree, don't worry about me calling you names, etc., I love to consider others' opinions.
Since we are going to have Obama in office for at least three more years, give the man a chance.
Now me, of course, I totally supported the last president. Really. Scouts honor. No lie. For sure. No kidding. Believe me. Truly. You bet. Would I lie? (Like a rug!).
