Actually, Capt. Gary-
It's the media that keeps calling it "global warming" not scientists-scientists call it Global Climate Chaos cuz things just aren't going to be the way they used to be-wide flucuations in heat and cold and lots of fun things like tornadoes in places that never had tornadoes (like Springfield last year) or hurricanes in places that don't get hurricanes (like Bandon this winter). The people who don't believe that the climate is changing globally keep calling it Global Warming so they can point to 42 degrees below zero somewhere and say,"see, it isn't getting warmer.." when in fact, we, as a very dependent life form on this planet, are in for "a very bumpy ride". So keep a pair of fur lined speedos for those days when we go from 80 degrees to 30 degrees as is happening in some parts of the Mid-West (and guess what all that roller-coaster weather is doing to crops like winter wheat, corn, veggies???)
