Jes' to be the devil's advocate here my good Captain since I don't know who I'm voting for yet, I'll take your analogy a step further...
Ol' Hill wants to fix our 'ship' by sticking a life jacket into one of the thousand holes that have turned our good sleek craft into a leaky , clunky barge that is drifting out of control down stream where there may be a catastrophic waterfall beyond the next bend...
This is 'Business as usual' says Obama ... "wait a moment folks, lets get this wounded vessel on to shore, rebuild her, send a scout or two down river
and begin anew with a strategy of vision, not a mentality of quick-fix band-aids".
Now as any mutt bred dog like myself knows about oil companies ...no matter what, they will raise their prices because that's the way they are. Nature of the beast kind of thingy, ya know. So if we charge them a huge tax like Hill says, who do YOU think will pay that tax my good Captain. Eh?
I respect Obama for his stand on this issue because by summer's end I will bet you a super SUB pastrami sandwich with all the fixens that gas will be over $4.00 a gallon no matter what.
On this subject Hill sure sounds like one of those medicine salesmen that used to ride around in wagons in the old days selling cures for everything. And by golly, there was always folks around that bought their useless tonics.
